i bought a hp pavilion dv6 1115ee laptop.i wanna be able to watch and record tv on my laptop. what kind of tv tuner card do i need, and what else is necessary to do what i'm trying to do

Is it normal to receive all channels for a short time when you hook up a Bright House digital tuner?
Ok, I have a combo with Bright House Internet & Phone , this came with free basic cable. After the digital transition, they started offering a digital tuner for $1.00 per month that would allow you to pick up the free OTA digital stations plus the basic stations. The funny thing is, when I hooked the tuner up, I receive MOST all of the channels on every tier except HD. I looked at my bill and there is no extra cable service charges except for the $1.00 plus tax for the tuner. Also, the special features only partly work, for example Start Over isn't available but On Demand works. Also, if someone calls my Brighthouse Phone the number doesn't show up on the TV probably because I am not subscribed to digital cable . Some channels are slowly dissappering, but it takes a couple days to lose a channel or two. But right now, I get most every single station, including the major movie channels. I seem to remember that Dish and Direct TV boxes did the same thing when they were activated for a few days as well. What I want to know is is this normal for Bright House and kind of a bait and switch give you everything free for a few days so you'll miss it when the box finally adopts to your subscription or is this an error on their part or is the box broke and not acknowledging their signals to close the channels down? I'm thinking it is a bait and switch tactic but I am not sure. Even the Account on Demand isn't supposed to work and it does too. Wierd.
I have a guitar tuner but not sure if it is working correctly because of the differnt settings...?
I recently pruchased a " CHASE ET 68GB" guitar tuner. The thing is when i put the setting on " guitar" the only strings it will tune are the 6th and the 1st. However when i put it on " chromatic" it registers all the strings but im not sure if its actually tuning the guitar correctly.Has anybody else got one of these tuners? if so do you know the problem?the tuner was set to " 440hz" when i got it so im guessing that is what it should be.Thanx in advance for any helpbeki
Can someone clarify tv tuner cards for me?
I have done bunch of research and and still am not quite clear and just what a tv tuner card can do. Im not looking to rip of comcast, i do subscribe to cable, but dont want another hd box for $$ mo. If i bought a hdtv tuner card for comp would i be able to see all of my subscribed content thru my computer, and be able to record it? What channels and content would be blocked just the stuff im not subscrubed to ? Is there a limit to how many channels a hdtv tuner card can pick up? Can I watch and record simultaneously?Thanks PS Can you recommend a decent hdtv tuner card for Win XP SP2?

I just bought a Samsung 2333SW monitor so I can have a dual monitor setup with my laptop however, I would like to use the monitor as a television as well. So what tuner box would be best for me to hook my monitor up to standard cable? Keep in mind it has to be digital It is actually for when I go back to college. The house has standard cable television. I want to hook the cable to a tuner box and feed it into my monitor that way it can serve as my television. So are there any products that anyone would recommend?
